There is a popular saying ; "everyday for the thief, one day for the owner". This happened at warri, Delta state, the fake soldier identified as Usman Jafar, from Adamawa state, ran out of luck when owner of the phone recognized him at a mobile phone market known as Robinson plaza. He was left with severe injuries on his face and other part of his body as result of beating.
Eye withness said the fake soldier escaped from the angry mob, but was chased and caught,he was attacked with cubs and knifes, they were determined to kill him,until some police officers came to his rescue.
Few minutes later, a military van from 3 batterion of the Nigerian army in Effurun in Uvwie local government of the state came and whisked him to their barrack for interrogation.
